Hiroshima

Hiroshima is widely known to be the first city to be hit by a nuclear bomb.
The city was devastated; it was hard to imagine that trees or flowers would grow there for some time.
But the people's longing for peace led to the miraculous recovery of the city.

Peace Memorial Park
This park was made to call for the abolition of nuclear weapons in hope for world peace.
The Atomic Bomb Dome- a world heritage, Peace Memorial Museum, and numerous monuments are located here.

* The Peace Memorial Museum with various resources on A-bombing effects is a must.

Miyajima
Located 40 minutes from Hiroshima Station by train and ferry, the small island with a perimeter of 30 km is stated as one of the Three Best Views of Japan.
There are a countless number of shrines in Japan, but the Itsukushima Shrine holds a very special feature of a floating torii, and is a world cultural heritage.

* Enjoy the autumnal maple leaves at Momijidani Park in November
* Try the specialty of Miyajima, the gKoyo-manju (autumn steam bean bun)h
